Although it looks like a simple trekking pole, it is solid enough to be used as a weapon. As for the case... it contains strange animals that attack enemies when set loose.

An extrozoologist who lives in seclusion in the forest. Although he often infuriates people with his words and actions and bullies his disciple Fia, he is kind to all wondrous beasts.
Name: Vic
Nickname: Forest Warden
Gender: Male
Height: 5'9"
Birthday: July 10
Birthplace: Umbraton
Element: Water
Affiliation: The Independent
Fighting Style: Wondrous Beast Mastery
Vic generally leaves people with the impression that he's unreliable, so I didn't actually realize he was a real extrozoologist until the day he came to live on the Colossus. On the very first day, he brought countless wondrous beasts onto the Colossus. They were flying frantically in the air, crawling all over the ground, and swimming about wherever they could... Most of them were species we had never even seen before! Many of the Aurorians on the Colossus came to watch curiously, causing quite a stir. However, finding a place for so many wondrous beasts was no easy problem. After a lot of time and effort, %s and I cleared out three empty rooms for these wondrous beasts. When we returned to find Vic, he had already gone back to his room to sleep!

It's not that I don't want to teach my two apprentices everything I know, but studying wondrous beasts is all about spontaneous active research. For example, when I was young, I didn't have someone like me to write books for me to study conscientiously. I love wondrous beasts, so I spent all my time taking care of them while learning all about them at the same time. It took me several years to form a profound understanding of them. Of course, that's not to say that this process was a cakewalk—surely you've noticed that I only have half of this wing left, and I still have a wondrous beast scar on my back! Thanks to one of your kin, a Caelestite girl who helped me communicate with wondrous beasts, I managed to overcome this horrible experience... Huh? Why did that wondrous beast attack me? Sigh, it's probably because my family used to be in the wondrous beast trade, so all the wondrous beasts I met back then were afraid of me... What's that look on your face for? Whose childhood doesn't hold at least one unspeakably lamentable tale?
Yes, I wasn't born to be an extrozoologist, but everything in this world happens for a reason. Children are innocent—naturally, whatever my parents told me, I took to be infallible. As a child, I simply thought of wondrous beast trading as a way of surviving in this world, but later on, I had to make a choice. I escaped from that place stained with the stench of blood and came to live alone in the forest. I gradually became familiar with these animals. Sometimes I couldn't afford food from town, so I had to resort to steal... Er, I mean—these wondrous beasts took it upon themselves to pick wild fruit for me and keep my belly full, so I survived! Hahaha...
Ashamed? What do I have to be ashamed of!? In this line of work, we call it mutualistic symbiosis—mother nature's wisdom utilized for the sake of survival! If Little Furball's hair keeps growing, eventually, it will shed it sooner or later, but if I shear it and gather it up, I can exchange it for alcohol and food. This not only saves Little Furball the hassle of having excessively long hair and the energy required to shed it, but it also improves the quality of my life—so why not?
Let me just say in advance that I've never forced Little Furball to let me shave it! But maybe the reason it stays with me is actually out of gratitude. I found it one snowy night—it was lying on the snow, its hind leg broken and caught in a trap. I couldn't bear seeing it like that, delirious and close to death, so I saved it. I took it home with me and nursed it for two days, but I never thought that when it regained consciousness, its first reaction would be to puff itself up and pounce on me! It went straight for my throat! Fortunately, I reacted fairly quickly, and Little Furball was still rather weak, so I lived to see another day... What are you embarrassed about? Isn't that exactly what you did, Little Furball? Well, I don't hold it against you. Because of you, I've been able to see so many wonderful things, and I finished writing "1,001 Fantastical Creatures"! It's all thanks to you that life is so good right now!
How can you call me lazy? Didn't I train two promising successors...? Alright, don't look at me like that. I'm just taking a well-deserved break right now after a bit of success... Sooner or later, I'll continue my journey—for my new book—and reveal all the mysteries of my exhilarating experiences. Speaking of which, when I gazed in the mirror the other day, I felt like I looked relatively more rejuvenated than before—the wrinkles around my eyes had retreated! I don't know whether it's because my newly-developed beast mucus skin care regimen is having some kind of miraculous effect on me or whether I've finally entered a reverse growth phase like the Ouroboros... Maybe I'll just keep getting younger and younger from now on. If I eventually do revert to a childlike state, please, %s, make sure Fia doesn't bully me... Am I scared of growing old? Maybe a little, or I wouldn't be searching for ways to stay young. But isn't that part of the fun of life, facing the unknown day after day?
Navigator...
Navigator...
Where are you, Vic?
...%¥@#!
Vic, have you received the book I sent you?
Navigator.
Vic, I need to talk to you. Are you free right now?
Navigator!
Navigator!
Who's in charge of the bar on the Colossus?
Vic! There are loads of wondrous beasts walking around on the Colossus!
Navigator... Help me...
Navigator...
Are you asleep, Navigator?
Vic has received a challenge from another extrozoologist! However, he doesn't seem fazed at all. Is he really that confident...?
Extrozoologists are a weird bunch, but we all love animals.
A smart ruler knows how important the environment and ecology are to development.
My duty is to find wondrous beasts and learn their secrets.
Eclipsites are ugly and boring, so I'm not interested in them.
It makes me sad to be misunderstood by my favorite apprentice, who calls me a liar every day... *Sob*
Shira is a strong child. She'll take up the mantle to protect the wondrous beasts!
Alcohol inspires both literature and art. A few drinks always helps get the creative juices flowing!
Ahhhh! Who moved my books?! They're out of order!
Can I borrow a greenhouse? Some wondrous beasts need a warmer environment to survive.
Do you need the Lutumi Owl to put you to sleep? If you suffer from chronic insomnia, extended sleep hypnosis services are available too.
I just have to sit here and keep watch, right? I'll brush these little ones in the meantime.
I surrender!
I'm just as good as I used to be...
Your turn.
Happy new year! I made gloves from Little Furball's fur for you and my two apprentices.
There's not much I can do.
Don't get me involved in anything complicated!
Favors are hard to return.
Our minds must be one to realize our potential.
Sleepy? Come lay down with me on Little Furball. It won't mind.
I think these little creatures have taken to you.
Alchemy Stars.
*Yawn* Where's Fia? Where's my cute little apprentice? I need a shoulder massage! I guess sleeping on my stomach was not good for my neck and shoulders... Ow, ow, ow...
Sorry about that, Navigator. Wondrous beasts shed often, I hope you're not allergic or anything. I'll get Fia to clean it up. What? You'll do it? That's so nice of you! You can start with shoveling excrement from the sand...
It's rude to ask anyone's age, so all you need to remember is that I'm forever eighteen. But you can ask me about other things, like which wondrous beast's secretion is best for your skin.
I specially made this toy from the fallen plumage of a Lutumi Owl in accordance with wondrous beast taste. Little Furball loves it! How dare Fia call me stingy for being frugal?
I understand that people have different ideas and attitudes toward wondrous beasts, but I hope my books can make more people fall in love with these little creatures and understand their ways.
My journey is not over yet. I'm certain there are wondrous beasts I haven't yet seen. I'd like to witness them with my own eyes.
I can see that you're interested in wondrous beasts too. Well, why don't you become my apprentice? I'll have another serv... I mean, student.
If you also like wondrous beasts, do you wanna travel through Astra with me next time? I'll credit you as an assistant in my book. Don't worry, it's not as if I'm hoping for free labor or transportation or anything like that...
One of your kin, a girl, once helped me learn how to communicate with wondrous beasts. Sometimes you remind me of her... I wonder if the two of you are related?
Ah-choo! I've been sneezing a lot recently. Perhaps some young lady is out there missing me?
With a face like mine, idols would be out of work if I could sing, dance or act! They should thank me for becoming a hermit.
Strength of character? That's something for you young people to ponder. For old folks like me, facing reality is how we survive.
Hey you, have you seen my manuscript? I hope none of the little ones ate it...
You're up early. Must be nice to be so young and full of vitality.
I'm hungry... Have you seen Fia? Why isn't my apprentice here with my meal yet?
Come, let me take you out and show you some of the world's nocturnal wondrous beasts.
Understanding wondrous beasts is one of the many ways to learn about this world. Want to see some incredible sights of creatures you've never seen before?
I practiced the tambourine for a long time so I could get good at it. I hope I don't let everyone down!
Little Furball, save me!
I got into wondrous beasts when I was young, but because of my family business, I've done things in the past that have harmed them. My scar and one remaining wing are the price I paid for those transgressions.
Wondrous beasts are simple, innocent creatures without the deceptiveness Aurorians are prone to. I saved Little Furball, and it decided to travel with me as I roamed Astra, protecting me along the way. Unlike those two apprentices that yell at me and bully me all day... sigh.
It's not that I don't trust you. It's just that I don't even know that much about my bloodline. I've only read about Ouroboros in ancient tomes, and I'm still trying to figure out how I'm connected to it. If you're so interested in me, want to help me look for leads?
Have mercy, please.
Sniper (A+)
A+
+Interesting targeting and damage formula
+Surprisingly competent damage ceiling
-Incredibly janky targeting priority
-Actively hurts your team’s total DPR
-Damage ceiling is rather unrealistic
Vic is a very impractical DPS unit. His targeting and general attack formulas are novel, but that doesn’t mean they’re particularly good. Most notably, the fact that he doesn’t generate combo not only hurts his personal DPR but also the team’s overall multipliers. He also lacks a true niche – Water is flush with high-powered mobbers and bossers, even amongst its snipers. Vice:KS outpaces him even on standard-length maps; Connolly has better targeting, DPR, and utility; and Fleur has pseudo-detonation.
