A Mysterious Creature from the north that's passionate about games. Whenever it comes across someone new, it'll always ask, "esteemed master, do you accept commissions?"
Nickname: Mysterious Creature
Birthday: June 17
Fighting Style: Marvelous Dance
Mr. Tourdog is a passionate painter and collector of commissions. The day he arrived on the Colossus, he asked dozens of people if they took commissions. He even asked %s, who has no experience in drawing.
Why is he asking others to paint when he could do it himself? Curious about this, I asked him and the answer was "to get the best artists from all over the world to participate in the production of Al***my St**s."
That sounds like an ambitious goal, except... It would probably be better if Mr. Tourdog paid a little more attention to his budget. Right now, Mr. Tourdog relies on money from the sale of his paintings to get commissions from artists, leaving himself with very little to live on. He can barely afford to buy new clothes...
My luckiest moment would have to be when I found that equipment. What a waste to have that kind of treasure buried deep in ancient ruins for hundreds of years!
That equipment can not only store pictures, but it also use them to create games. It felt like a fateful encounter! With its help, I was finally able to take my first steps on the path to making games!
What game do I want to make? Al***my St**s, of course! I've asked many, many masters for countless beautiful illustrations that can even be made to move with the effects of Luminatics. They're the best on the whole continent!
I'm sure that Al***my St**s will eventually be popular all over the world.
Ooh, time to start thinking about the plot of its animated movie!
To make the game, I left the Northland and embarked on a journey to Umbraton, where countless game manuals have been published. As I traveled, I gathered material and looked for artists for Al***my St**s. Traveling wasn't as easy as I thought it would be, especially when it came to funding. I could barely afford to eat because I needed to save up to commission more artists... None of this was a problem though. I would never give up on my dream.
Luckily, I met many generous investors after arriving in Umbraton, and they're all looking forward to my game. With the funds to continue the production of Al***my St**s, I was finally able to improve my quality of life too...
So far, I've been painting and asking for commissions all by myself. %s, would you like to be my sponsor and work on Al***my St**s with me?
Northland is my birthplace. It's bitterly cold all year round. The land is always covered in thick blankets of snow, and outside the towns are endless mountain peaks and forests, with very little entertainment.
One day, I found a game manual published in Umbraton at the fair in the Winter Palace. The manual had illustrations from different games, and I was hooked.
That book told me that games can not only be beautiful, but can also bring joy and touch hearts. I was so convinced of this that I started to practice drawing, hoping that I would be able to make my own game one day.
When I saw the Aurora for the first time, it was as if the light of a mission had glowed on my shoulders. Yes! I'm going to make a game with the most beautiful art, and a story as mysterious and gorgeous as the stars in the sky!
That's right, the game of my dreams is Al***my St**s!
I heard there were amazing artists on this big flying ship.
Introduced by Hachi & Gin, a Mysterious Creature has come to the Colossus...
Hmmm, Umbraton... many of the people here do have a good taste for art, but most are just pompous.
Those old fellows in Lumopolis are rigid, but they do have an eye for beauty. Anyway, I think making money is more important.
Success belongs to those who act quickly.
I'd say we have artistic differences...
Taki seems to have eyes only for money, but he's actually very attentive to details and has an eye for beauty.
Hachi and Gin? They're just black-hearted conmen who happen to sell paintings. They do come across some good ones though...
There's a painter here? Quick, introduce me...
I really hate people who don't take the creative process seriously.
Whoa, this place is filled with equipment. Perhaps, we can use it for Al***my St**s...
Let's play Al***my St**s!
Watch the house? Yeah, I did have a part-time gig doing that. It was a good opportunity to study the devices here...
Eh... You can take care of the comforting...
One step closer to my goal!
I have all the materials I need.
I wish you a Happy New Year!
Time to work...
An animated film of Al***my St**s... I'll need some rough sketches first. No, wait. First, I have to write the treatment.
I can feel it!
Brain teaser! What dog goes around to see art exhibitions? The answer is Tourdog. Whoa, I want everything here...
Such a huge flying ship! It should be called an Airship. "Colossus" just doesn't sound right...
I don't mind reflecting reality in my works, but there has to be an element of dreams as well. A dreamless work is doomed to mediocrity...
Redo the work? No way... Okay fine, but do I get paid more?
Painters should be given the space to express themselves and paint their ideals.
You want a lively and colorful black? ... I can try.
The story shall be sorrowful but passionate. It shall be full of chivalrous characters and epic adventures...
Listen to this. Thanks to my patrons, I can focus on making games and reading pitches. I guess the Lumopolis... I mean Umbraton people, are not entirely blind.
It's very cold in Northland but the Aurora is absolutely gorgeous... And it was under that peculiar light that my dream of Al***my St**s was born.
I've received too many pitches over the past few days... I can barely afford clothes anymore. Airship man, could you please lend me some clothes?
Some of the drawings are incredible, but their overall tone just doesn't fit our project. It would be lovely if we could use them, but we can't force it either.
Some people came to me looking for investors... But I don't know that kind of people. They should try their luck with the wealthy lady, Sheol.
Another busy working day is about to start. You got this.
You're up early. How diligent! I guess taking care of this ship must be your dream job.
Still working? Don't forget to eat. Nothing is more important than your health.
Don't you ever rest? I can't go on much longer... Ah...
Can you paint? Or do you know someone who can? I'm Tourdog, and I'm looking for someone to join my project, Al***my St**s...
Ready when you are.
I came across that piece of equipment by chance when I was exploring the ruins earlier. I need to get started on Al***my St**s.
The first few years of making the game were incredibly challenging, and I couldn't do it on my own... Fortunately, I managed to get help from new friends, even investors.
I was inspired by the Aurora, because I was born in Northland. But it was the game manual that guided me to Umbraton.
I can do this your way!
