Enters the Noon state, increasing Jona's Attack by 10% and Chain Combo damage by 30% for 2 rounds.
Deals 155% damage to 4 enemies within 2 surrounding clusters.
Deals 160% damage to 4 enemies within 3 surrounding clusters.
Deals 175% damage to 4 enemies within 4 surrounding clusters.
These three modified guns with peculiar shapes are very distinct from revolvers. With her mechanical hands and 6-shot mag, Jona can shower a hail of bullets on her enemies, laying down powerful suppressive fire.
Hey Kafka! Wanna have a little shooting contest?
Same rules as always: loser buys drinks at the bar tonight.
If you really feel like paying for my drinks, then sure. I'm game.
Feeling cocky today, huh?
Here, let's see who can shoot out this window and hit this Colossus' wing.
(Hey... Did I hear a sneeze just now?)
The wing? That's way too big of a target... How about the tip of the wing?
(I think I heard a sneeze just now, too... Ah, it's probably nothing.)
Ah, I only said the wing first because I figured you wouldn't be able to hit the tip.
You gotta be kidding me... Here, I'll even let you aim for the thicker part of the tip. I'll go for the thin part.
Whoever misses has to pay for a bottle, how's that sound?
Sounds good to me! Let's go!
(Whoa! The sneeze is getting louder...)
(Is... Is the Colossus moving?)
Why's this big guy taking off all of a sudden? ... Hey, where'd the wing go? I can't see it anymore!
Ah, let's just pick a new target. How about the tip of Lumopolis' roof?
No problem!
Common Gift. Best effect when given to Rediesel Wrench Aurorians. A substance leftover from the old times. Rediesel Wrench folks use it for decoration or buttering up their Colossus.
Common Gift. Best effect when given to forthright Aurorians. A specialty from the wasteland. Straightforward people enjoy this unique taste very much.
Valuable Gift. Best effect when given to Rediesel Wrench Aurorians. Key to dynamites, ammo, and explosives. Internal hard currency of the Rediesel Wrench.
Valuable Gift. Best effect when given to forthright Aurorians. A box of tools for most crafting and repairing needs. A particular favorite of no-nonsense people.
Once a bounty hunter, Jona is a member of the Rediesel Wrench and an expert sharpshooter. She is unruly and cynical but shows no mercy to her enemies. No one has even seen her without her handcuffs.
Name: Jona
Nickname: Revolver Convict
Gender: Female
Height: 5'10''
Birthday: August 13
Birthplace: Black Mercury Settlement
Element: Fire
Affiliation: Rediesel Wrench
Fighting Style: Revolver, 6-Shot Mag
I was slightly spooked by her handcuffs the first time I saw Miss Jona. It must not felt good being cuffed all the time. I didn't want to look shocked since that would be rude, but surprisingly, she smiled and asked if the handcuffs looked good on her. She said she got used to wearing them and didn't mind what others think. She was even apologetic that it startled me. That made me think Miss Jona is totally different from how she appeared and is a very nice person.
Of course, the niceness doesn't cover combat. Miss Jona is cool as a cucumber in a fight and will never fire twice if one shot is enough to kill. Not that she misses, anyway. She admitted it's best for both sides to finish a target fast; she didn't have to put in more effort and the enemy wouldn't suffer much. Hmm, I guess she's still nice in how considerate she is to the enemy.

So, you're the boss? I'm Jona. Call me whatever you like. I do dirty work for the Rediesel Wrench with my squad the "Loose Screws." We deal with everything: killing Eclipsites, robbing caravans, ransacking your Colossus and then selling it to a Northland chop shop for money. Heh, just joking about the last one. I don't care about getting caught, but another handcuff would be too heavy.
So, any lounge on the Colossus? I'll settle for a bar. If not, a counter will do. Otherwise, a mini-bar... How about a bottle? Nothing? Fine, I'll get my fill when I get back to Rediesel Wrench. But let me tell you, it's no fun without liquor in a place as huge as the Colossus.
Death Row? I'd rather not bring that up, but whatever. It's all in the past, anyway. I was just tagging along with them to kill, plunder, rinse, repeat. That's about it. Now that I put it that way, it wasn't all that different from my time with the Rediesel Wrench, except one sucked and the other was pretty good. Hmm, I guess that's probably a big difference, but yeah, whatever.
Anyway, I was kinda conflicted when I fought Death Row as a Rediesel Wrench since I had been a part of one, and the other... Well, I've been a part of it too. It just felt weird seeing the two sides fight, until I saw my old master colluded with Eclipsites, then I felt whatever, it was cool to kill the monster.
So I killed him. I didn't want to admit it but that didn't make me uncomfortable. In fact, I felt pretty good about it.
The Lumopolis prison? What's up with all these questions about things I don't want to bring up? Yeah, whatever. Why do you want to know about places like the prison? Thinking about getting thrown into the slammer one day? Well, you'll have to mess things up for that. We're talking about the big house in Lumo here. You're getting in on petty theft, unless you stole from Schwartz and drew a pig head on his face, hehe. Be sure you tell me if you do. I want to see what the Lord of Lumopolis looks like with that.
Seriously, I didn't have a bad time in prison. They served me food and water, I always had a blanket, so I wasn't cold even when it rained outside, and I slept in peace every night. It was like living the life of a royalty to me. The only problem was the handcuffs, but they were just a minor inconvenience. I truly felt it wouldn't be bad at all to spend my whole life in there. Except I also missed the days of racing in the desert sometimes. I don't know why.
Alcohol, coffee, tea, drugs... All these could get you high, but I only like the first one. Coffee isn't strong enough for me. Tea, even less. Drugs could be a thrill, but you could also die if you're not careful. In comparison, the advantages of alcohol are obvious. It's strong enough and won't kill me on the spot, so why wouldn't I enjoy it to the max? Just a small shot warms me from lips to tummy. Even if Rediesel Desert turned into the Northland, it wouldn't be a problem as long as I got alcohol.
Actually, I don't like shooting contests, but some of the punks in the squad always trying to wager me. Whatever, they do what they want. I don't care about winning, but I don't see the point of missing on purpose, either, so I won every time. That's good since that meant they have to get me alcohol, so why not? Hey, %s, wanna have a shooting contest? I'd like to try Caelestite alcohol... Nothing like that? Eh, whatever.
Do you like rock music?
Hi, I just came by to say hello.
Oh, it looks like you're awake.
Tsk, I think I drank too much last night... My head is killing me.
Morning, Navigator.
Hope I'm not disturbing you.
Urgh... My head hurts.
Hey!
Hmm...
Yo, are you up?
What time is it, Navigator?
Noon time! What are you up to?
Have you ever heard the music from Lumopolis?
Where do I find a cleaning rod on the Colossus?
I'm up.
I've just had an awesome idea.
I always feel sleepy at noon.
It's a beautiful day.
Where is the end of the desert? Where are the Loose Screws heading?
The legendary Demon Scourge is the epitome of evil that destroys everything in her wake and has a hefty 500-million-dollar bounty on her head.
A girl selling dolls told a fantastic story about the Magic Dragon Referee... Hang on a minute. The referee sounds a lot like...
Rediesel Wrench is a garbage dump where madmen and thugs gather. I'm one of them, of course.
Lumopolis is great! They love squandering the legacy of the old world. Lot of hotties in the Lumo Knights, too.
Live life to the fullest and just go with the flow.
The Eclipsites? Those pitiful creatures who live on Darkflow to survive should all be put to rest sooner.
Regina and Barbara? Oh, that's a tough choice since I like both rock music and pretty girls.
Although Brock is a muscle-brained idiot, he is considered a normal person in Rediesel Wrench.
Observing and strolling can calm my mind. What about Aurorians? They're no more than sand in the desert.
A tense atmosphere always reminds me of stinky sweat. What's the point of forcing yourself so much?
It's a magnificent creation. Just give me a corner to stay in and I'll be able to bid farewell to deprivation and hunger.
I almost forgot that I still have something to do. I'll end this quickly.
If you pay me enough—ahem, yes, I'll do it.
Watch out for sneaky shots.
Huh, it's nothing much.
Locked and loaded.
Sit down now. It's the New Year.
Let's get'em, boys!
One shot, right on target!
My talent is shooting.
Come, listen to this symphony of gunshots!
Relax—you should enjoy your leisure time properly. Leave your work matters for later.
Keep a low profile.
Alchemy Stars.
Don't be shy, come and say hi. We got warheads, magazines, shell casings, oh, this is the "Doom" series robotic arm! Designed by the Rediesel Wrench technical division. How is it made? Well, you can just go ask Tiny One.
No one will say no to money, kid. This is just a job, and out of humanitarian spirit, I like to end lives quickly. Make sure there's no unnecessary suffering.
My MO? Helping the weak and women, especially children. I'll never point my guns at 'em.
Alright, time for the gloves to come off—Hah! I'm just joking. I won't undo my handcuffs. They're kinda my thing.
Be careful, kid. My bullets are fast enough to send people to their graves.
Alright! Time to kick some butt. I can talk the talk because I walk the walk, kid.
I don't like to fight... but sometimes you just don't have a choice. Tsk, don't make me reserve a bullet for you, kid.
Before I die, I want to get drunk and collapse somewhere in the street. Then, some random nobody comes by and BLAM, does me in right there and then, one shot to the heart.
I don't like to poke my nose in other people's business, usually, but you're special. Whatever happens to you, don't take it to heart. Time will smooth everything out.
Bang! Did I scare you? Haha!
To be polite, I guess I should shake your hand—which of my robotic arms do you want to shake?
A wanted criminal? Even I'm tempted by the price on my head.
Let's get a move on, been a while since I got any action. Try to keep up with my pace, kid.
A nice long breakfast is the perfect start to a good day, especially when it comes with a cup of tea.
Who's making that racket?! Why do music lovers always get so restless around this time?
You want a drink? On the rocks, with salt, or just a juice box for the kid?
Don't move or this bullet will rip through your head before you know it! I'm just kidding! I'm Jona, an ordinary gunner who is passing by. Say goodbye to those annoying trivial things in life; let us sit down and have a peaceful conversation.
Take aim.
Life? I don't have any special expectations for life... Tomorrow is just another day. I don't care where I am as long as I have something to eat.
The life of a gunner ends in a duel. Obviously, my gun is always faster. Buried my mentor myself and covered the ground in bullet shells for him.
I've always allowed fate to push me around and stay where I'm pushed to. If I had to say something good about it, at least Rediesel Wrench is where I've lived most comfortably.
Prepare coffins for my enemies.
A race judge's outfit always stands out. After all, in order for racers to spot the judges at high speeds, they'll need to stand out. Jona, who only applied for the job because she needed money to cover her bar tab, soon discovered the race's dark secrets. Though she had intended to mind her own business, she ended up heading to the track for the sake of a little girl, determined to bring justice down on the crooks heading the fixed races.
Sniper (A)
A
+Would probably be S tier at BT3 if Fire had any broken Whale Converters
+Attack buff and decent splash damage during Active allows her to theoretically compete on multitile content
-Extremely dependent on Active to do anything above poor Sniper damage
-2 turn buff means getting full mileage out of active can be very awkward and essentially forces her to become Captain
Jona is a unit who is particularly injured by Fire's lack of overpowered select tile conversion, as her output depends largely on her autoattacks. She's not too different from Tohru in this regard, but more of Tohru's damage is stapled on to her chain combo, which makes her a.) much more consistent and b.) much less reliant on getting BT3 to come online.
Still, given that Tohru is an exclusive collab unit, it's a relatively nice niche to have. Unfortunately, Jona has other competition -- namely all of the insane detonators in Fire and Giles. Giles outpaces every other single-tile unit in the game besides Minos and Vice:KS at MBT, and Fire's top detonators have arguably better mobbing and ST damage than a sniper who depends on captain slot, good tile placement, and a BT-gated Active.
All of this is to say that Jona is okay, but she's never best in slot -- at least until Fire gets the power creep that the other three elements have enjoyed since release.
