It's strange that I managed to put on some weight even though I've been running all over the place lately. I'm worried that a chubbier body will affect my agility in battles, so I've decided to lose weight. Someone told me that I could lose weight easily by following the personal recipes of the Circus' ringmaster. What a coincidence, because %s happened to invite Ringmaster Jeno over for a meal. Although he looked quite serious, I got up the courage and asked him for his recipes. To my surprise, he agreed to share with me! He also ended up cooking some dishes with his own hands during his visit to thank me and %s for inviting him. It made us both thrilled! Although I have no idea why %s was so happy, considering I was the one who was trying to lose weight.
Anyway, I indeed lost weight after following the Jeno's recipes for several days. But I never want to eat boiled foods without oil, salt, or sugar ever again... The real question is how come %s ended up gaining weight?

My dear audience, are you saying that... you want to perform a divination for me? There's no need to conceal your desires because I've seen this day coming from the restless Origin Cards.
I'll act like a normal spectator and draw one card from the deck... Huh? Look, this is a Sun card. The Sun... It indeed filled my entire childhood, but it mostly occurred as a word. In that age which has become a bit blurry to me, many people told me to bask in the sun more, but only one person could drag me out of my dusty and humid room that was infested with bugs. None other than Elvis, of course. I'm sure you remember this time; most Harbor City visitors have heard it once or twice. Back then, he wasn't a nobleman of Lumopolis, or the ruler of Harbor City, and he wasn't weak and vulnerable either... To me, he was just an ordinary elder brother figure from next door.
The second card... Oh? It's the Moon card. It means that I have to confess to you one lie I told. The power of the Origin Cards is watching, forcing me to be level with you...
Elvis was more than an ordinary neighbor, he was the only bridge linking me and this world before I was introduced to magic. We used to run out before daybreak and wait for the sun to rise from the sea horizon and paint the world in colors, and when the tide fell, we would run to the beach and pick up shells and pearls that had been perfectly polished by the sea.
We'd tell each other about our dreams. I wanted to be the best artist creating better colors than the sun and more amazing shapes than the sea, while Elvis wished to open a restaurant that offers nice food from all over the world. Children always believe that their dreams will come true with the same ease with which one greets someone. The laughable thing is that despite all his lofty promises and talk, Elvis and his family disappeared in the most mundane of nights.
The third card is a Cosmic card. Haha. Looks like this long-winded conversation has to go on.
When I decided to leave Harbor City with my parents, I sold all my notebooks carrying my doodles to a nearby art dealer. God knows why that art dealer could still run his business during the Darkover Crisis like nothing was happening. My parents asked for a few more coins from the art dealer for my notebooks, but I didn't know that they had spent all their savings to buy some long-term tickets for the Emerald just to avoid the tragedy. However, tragedy is the broken wing of a dead butterfly and it could just hit anyone.
I was exposed to magic for the first time when I was on the Emerald. The old captain took out a pigeon from his pocket and a feather fell on my head when it flew. At that moment, it dawned on me that magic was more dazzling than the sun's paints and more delicate than the sea's carving skills. It was simply meant to be.
Ah... No! I don't want to recall that mistake... Fire spread on my palm while the tongues of fire turned into the old captain's crazy roar, "You don't deserve to master magic!"
I ran away from the Emerald like a nervous wreck, and I didn't even get to say goodbye to my parents. I swore that I would return as the "greatest magician."
I stood on the street with my burnt hands, performing to any child who was willing to spare a glance at me, until I saw the hemline of a lady's skirt. When I looked up, she passed me a deck of unique-looking cards. I took it with my trembling hands and showed her all the skills I could think of... The cards rose and fell, swirling between my hands like dancers, emitting an inexplicable power... It was a power that could revolutionize magic. "If you want this deck of cards, come with me."
After joining the True Order, I couldn't concentrate on praying like the others. So when I saw the Emerald again many years later, I naturally hopped back onboard... only to find that my parents had long perished from disease. All the wrath in my heart coagulated into flaming arrows targeting the old captain. I sent him a challenge, demanding the Emerald in exchange if he lost. Of course, by then, the old captain had long forgotten about me. He duly accepted the challenge and well, he lost. I would've been so ecstatic, if not for the fact that I knew he'd lost to me on purpose.
See, he'd always known it was me! He'd observed my skills in secret, until I passed his tests and ended up inheriting his circus. Turned out this was his last magic trick. Does this make the old captain the greatest magician?
Nevertheless, I will prove to you that I am an even greater one.
Lately, I've been feeling strange on the Colossus.
I appreciate your recent attempts to help.
Nice to meet you... The owner of Soroz—Navigator.
I developed a new diet plan recently...
Dear Navigator, I have a request.
It's time to stop dreaming now.
Good afternoon, I should get ready for my performance.
Good afternoon, Navigator.
Good evening, Navigator.
Sorry to bother.
The late night wind smells different compared to in the day.
I won't be resting tonight.
What do you usually think about at this time?
The triplets, Merylt, Subli and Frimet, organize a special interview... What will Jeno's answer be?
Both my reputation and my cards were bestowed upon me by that woman.
Do you know which place in this world has the most advanced culinary culture? I'd like to visit it, perhaps.
May the Truth bless you.
I hate all biological creatures that lack exquisiteness... Maybe they are not biological creatures at all.
Rainbow has taken on burdens that I cannot handle.
We once entrusted each other our tears and laughter, until responsibilites made prisoners of us.
I don't mind performing for children. They make me feel at ease.
Gaining weight would decrease the flexibility of my performances, and all my props would have to be remade into bigger sizes.
It can fly, but it can't float.
This Colossus can be considered a miracle, but there are miracles closer to you still.
This place of shelter is so tranquil, it makes one feel uneasy. Perhaps I should remove my head... no, one cannot remove their head.
Did I gain weight...
Just a standard performance.
Props ready.
Happy New Year! I hope that I can reach my greatest potential, and then make a breakthrough.
I understand.
Switching it up for something new.
Blessed Origin Cards.
Is this the upper limit?
I don't enjoy zoning out. Intrusive thoughts traveling freely through my head, moving towards memories of moments I've worked hard to abandon.
What a good trick.
Alchemy Stars.
Excellent visuals can pull one into an abyss of intense emotions. What's even more exciting and tantalizing is that such visions enable us to make connections between all that we know...
The sound of bubbles breaking up when meeting the side of a ship. The sound of deceptive winds blowing through the cracks of the hull. The sound of miracles to be sacrificed, surging upwards towards me, beckoning to be unveiled.
I'm familiar with the scent of the desperate because I was once one of them.
Selective cards find direction amongst a myriad of driftless thoughts, and vulgar fools are those who cannot bear the hand they've been dealt.
Things are heating up. This hand will make the enemy tremble.
The musical cacophony of rage, glossy cards shuffling back and forth. Heh, gold truly reeks.
The miracle we call magic is, in essence, a gamble between the magician and his props. You must force your muscles to remember the right moves... I wore my socks inside out.
What is this strange feeling? It's become harder to maintain a poker face, and sweat seems to be forming on my back... I see. There must be plenty of enemies nearby.
Sorry, I'm sweating. Simple standing here staring at you has caused me to reveal my hand.
I care not for those flimsy things other than magic. They ridicule me, because I ridicule them.
Magic shows are flamboyant suggestions that are founded upon technical skill and dazzling visual effects. Language? Too much focus on language would disorient the audience and drive them into dark alleys of obscurity.
The passage of time makes you mad at your helplessness, while Truth and only Truth can provide you with all the meanings you yearn for... Such a byline would certainly fulfill Victoria's mission, wouldn't it?
Today, I shall throw myself headlong into the whimsical world of magic that is filled with mysteries and absurdity.
Black coffee is indeed the best, provided that I can hold my cup steadily.
To the inspiration that flutters just out of reach... will you succumb to me and flow into my mind now?
Yet another night saved by magic. Shall we go to sleep?
Dear audience, greetings. I am Jeno the magician and captain of the Emerald. Please stay tuned, for this meeting is just the prologue of the performance to come.
Would you like to see a magic trick?
I used to ride the waves and watch the sunrise with Elvis... He would also drag me out of the house to meet new friends. We used to do those things together, once upon a time.
My parents took me to live on the Emerald, to escape the Darkover Crisis, but it didn't belong to me at that time.
I left the Emerald to tour the continent without telling my parents or the man who taught me magic, and ended up meeting that lady.
Your anticipation is appreciated.
Healer (S)

+Chloe-style attack buff with higher ceiling in longer fights
+Perma -10% def shred and 1 poison stack
+Easy access to sanity dumping and restoration
+Relatively BT-free
-Highly RNG output
-Skill intensive for moderate rewards - card management is very difficult.
Jeno has a lot of handy little effects that add up – in particular, his damage buff is very powerful (think of what Areia or Hiiro can do with bonus attack). However, he’s also completely dependent on the Sanity System, which at time of writing is available to only two other relevant units (Giles and Lenore), both of which are six-stars. This isn’t a huge deal, but it’s enough that he’s not recommended for new players, who have much more pressing DPS and conversion issues. Still, he’s probably the best pure support in Forest, and his value will only increase as more sanity units are released.
