Select a traversable tile on which to summon Gin and determine his direction, then throw 1 grenade in this direction. This grenade can bounce again to the farthest distance possible in Gin's selected direction. The grenade deals 200% damage to enemies it passes along the way.
Throws a grenade at the nearest 2 enemies, dealing 125% damage.
Throws a grenade at the nearest 2 enemies, dealing 140% damage.
Short for "bada bing bada boom," the collective name given by Hachi and Gin to the assortment of weapons they carry around with them. Includes a grenade launcher, a special assault rifle, and hand grenades. Rumor has it that they earned millions in assets using these weapons to settle down and ultimately make a life for themselves.

There's more to Hachi & Gin than what meets the eye.
At first glance, you'll notice that they possess the distinct characteristics of canine demi-humans. At second glance, you'll be surprised to find that they dress in well-pressed high-end suits and slick back their hair with gel. By the third glance, you'll discover that they carry a deadly shotgun and rifle... If you stick around for a fourth glance, you might even notice that one of them is always holding a mint lollipop! And if you make it to the fifth glance, you'll learn to appreciate the humorous banter, which seems to amuse everyone they meet.
Are these two strange people really the most famous art dealers in Umbraton? I'm kind of looking forward to seeing them next time to discover something new.

Are you curious about our story? Hang on... You don't think that Gin is actually my brother, do you? No, not at all... We don't look alike at all! Even different species, for heaven's sake! Some people have even mistaken him for an Eclipsite!
Although Gin and I are not brothers, one might say that we are closer than that. We go back—way back... Since before I can remember, it was just my father and me through thick and thin. My father shut himself away from the world in a small dark room, painting all day long, and was often distressed by the creations he produced. I didn't know how to comfort him, so all I could do was try not to disturb him. During the day, I ran around the yard, and at night, and slept next to my weary father. In fact, I wanted for nothing, but I had no one to play with. Fortunately, Gin soon came into my life, and things became much more interesting.
%s, don't listen to Hachi. As you can see, I look nothing like an Eclipsite. I should tell my own story, so %s won't be led astray.
When I was a child, I lived with my parents, of course, but to be honest, those memories have become very blurred. I remember when I was about eight years old, Umbraton was attacked by a swarm of Eclipsites. An Eclipsite injured my parents, and there was nothing anyone could do for them. I ran away in desperation and finally fell at the doorstep of a nearby house. Just as my eyes were about to close, a painter stepped out of the house and carried me inside. Later, I heard that Hachi had sniffed out my scent and asked his father to come out and save me.
Then the painter adopted me. Actually, Hachi was adopted too, you know, so we both became his adopted sons. But the problem is, Hachi thought that the painter was his biological father. It was not until we grew up that he learned the truth from the painter. The expression on his face at that time... was a sight to remember.
I was glad my father took in Gin—I finally had a playmate! Though, it was a pity that Gin was always so gloomy back then. His face was sallow and melancholy all day long, as if someone owed him money. But I didn't care. Under a bombardment of constant affection, Gin finally became willing to speak to me!
After Gin came to live with us, father started to spend more time with us both. Gin was interested in nothing but paintbrushes, so father began to teach him how to paint, slowly but surely. Ah... I was just flipping through those painting albums. I have to say, some of the comments were quite biting. After teaching Gin how to paint, my father would come and tell me how to appreciate art... At that time, father's paintings were not selling well. Sometimes, the three of us were unsure of whether our next meal would be our last... But looking back, I was very happy back then...
I will never forget father and that painting... I must make enough money to buy an airship! I must fulfill his dream...
Pay no attention to Hachi. Sure, he has a big mouth, but he can be sensitive as well. Our father's death took a heavy toll on him... Yes, our adoptive father died when we were fifteen. Thankfully, he died a peaceful death.
Hachi and I had no choice but to leave the house and find a way to make a living for ourselves. Somehow, Istvan took an interest in us in a short time and gave us the opportunity of a lifetime. But Hachi and I were so used to enjoying our freedom since childhood. We preferred the freedom to work alone rather than being constrained by an organization, so we refused Istvan's invitation. Luckily, Istvan was not angered by our choice. He still provided us with job opportunities and the promise of long-term cooperation, allowing us to participate in his gang's mercenary training for free. So we were ultimately willing to work for this trustworthy new partner of ours.
We are one of the best painting duos in Umbraton now, and as far as Hachi is concerned, we are the best painting duo in Astra!
Our adoptive father left us an oil painting that depicts the entire continent of Astra from the sky. That's why Hachi wants to buy an airship. It is his dream to look down at Astra from on high, and mine too.
Navigator, it's me, Hachi. Don't you just love flying through the air?
You wish to see the Navigator Collection? Bring the money to the bridge if you want the goods.
Oh! Good morning, Navigator!
Hey, Navigator.
Why is it always so hot at noon?
Guess what the artist and super-cool assassin had for lunch?
Caelestites don't need to cool off, right?
Navigator, would you like to go for a walk?
Hey! Navigator, would you like to buy a painting?
Navigator, you seem surprised that we call ourselves artists...
Have you ever considered developing the commercial value of the Colossus?
Phew...
Hey, I'm going to see the boss again tomorrow.
Recently, a secret collection of paintings has been traded throughout the Aurorian world. It is said that the collection consists solely of your paintings, and the producers of this collection are two Aurorians in suits...
We prefer to work alone. Those guilds can be so bothersome to deal with... and they make an absolute killing on agency fees alone.
Whether it's the new money or pretentious nobles, they share the same, bland artistic taste.
The shadows are watching you...
So are business opportunities!
A bunch of tasteless, classless philistines...
They exist only to be used by others.
In a way... Istvan is like a mentor to us.
I didn't expect such a dignified, noble lady to help us!
Two, three, four, five, six, seven... Counting the zeros in our account never gets boring!
I hate taking orders from Rediesel Desert... It's boiling hot during the day and freezing cold at night.
The design of this wall essentially expands its visual sense of space... Huh? There was another room all along?!
You must've spent quite a fortune for this big fellow!
Now looking for new business opportunities!
Let's retreat and... lick our wounds...
Here you go!
One express order, straight to hell!
Loading ammo!
Happy New Year!
Well, at least have a happy day.
Order confirmed!
Now I feel inspired!
A true connoisseur!
What a great taste you have!
If you could just try to stay still a little bit longer...
These paintings aren't going to sell themselves...
Our weapons seem to get more powerful all the time!
Alchemy!
Stars.
Come to us if you ever wish to invest in a true work of art. We are also available for a range of other additional services!
Payment for these extra services will be included in the price of your purchase...
Sniff, sniff... I smell... Nightium!
We're not producers of art!
We're purveyors of art!
You won't fetch a high price for the boring old stuff you have lying around here. Let Gin spruce up your piano with a splash of paint, eh?
I don't think that's for sale...
Only those who truly understand art can see the value of these old paintings. So... Which one would you like?
I don't think anyone would buy them, either.
Same clothes every day... Basic hairstyle... Would you like some tips on sprucing up your hair?
Sometimes, those complex, grand ideas need to be expressed more simply and directly...
So, what are we eating later?
What happens if we fail to ship an order? That's strictly confidential! All I can say is that Gin is a very skilled forger...
That's all you needed to say...
I forget the joke about the lollipop... even though it's on the tip of my tongue! Hahaha... wasn't that funny? And here I thought our new routine was ready for the stage...
Achoo... Gin always forgets to put the lid back on after using hair gel...
Don't look at us like that. We can handle any mercenary job you throw at us.
Knowing another language is a handy skill for any worldly painter... Meow. Huh? Isn't that funny?
Super peppermint lollipops, refreshing and good for health. Would you like to try one?
Wait, wait a second! Don't look at me! Where's my hair gel!?
Walkies!
... Someone just can't catch up. Are we running too fast?
Ah... It's only natural for dogs to sleep at night.
Hachi!
Gin.
We're talented art dealers and part-time mercenaries!
I think you mean talented mercenaries and part-time art dealers...
I've got you in my sights.
A lofty hairdo signifies the highest standards of taste! I'm 3 centimeters taller—so I'm as tall as Gin now, right? Still no??
Not even close.
I know what kind of job this is. Gin's talent shouldn't stop at forgery... But we won't stop until we save up enough Nightium.
Sometimes I dream of the old days... That painting of the beautiful blue sky, the canvas stretching across the entire wall... The figure of our father is still so clear in my mind.
As long as we are together, there is no problem!
Sniper (A)
A
+One of the strongest raw damage actives in the entire game (usually hits for 1700%, if you can believe it) -- as a result, an absolute monster in Calamity Codex and a solid budget sniper
+stabilized the furry economy's post COVID supply-chain issues
-Very poor chain combo
-Requires more set-up and meta knowledge to abuse than almost any other unit in the game
-Stabilized the furry economy's post COVID supply-chain issues
Hachi and Gin do two things: they nuke the living daylights out of Calamity Codex bosses, and they get a containment thread on Reddit every once in a while.
While the second part is rather self-explanatory, their active is rather complicated - for the uninitiated, the ability's damage scales per hit the further you are from the enemy, and can hit a large amount of tiles on 2x2 enemies based on the angle (!) that you launch it at. When adequately managed, your active damage floor should be somewhere around 1700%, and the cap can go as high as 2200%. If this sounds very broken, it's because it is.
However, outside of this absolute meme of a skill, there's not a lot to write home about. A rather poor chain combo hampers their off-turn output, and they don't play nice with Florine (an absolute must in most top end-comps). And, of course, they have 4* stats. All said and done, they're worth building if you like them or are missing Luke as a thunder sniper, but they're not necessities.
