The rifle is said to have been discovered in a mysterious ruin and came into Azure's possession when she was little. It gains a beautiful deep blue hue under direct sunlight and can fire many kinds of bullets.
Common Gift. Best effect when given to Rediesel Wrench Aurorians. A substance leftover from the old times. Rediesel Wrench folks use it for decoration or buttering up their Colossus.

I was at the bridge carrying out a routine inspection of the rooms on the Colossus when I noticed that one room was unusually hot and that smoke was developing inside. Concerned about a fire, I ran over there, kicked the door open and thew a basin of ice water inside... Then I heard a very familiar sneeze and realized %s was in there, soaking wet.
I explained why I was there for and looked around for the source of the heat and smoke but couldn't find it. %s repeatedly rejected Azure's offers to help, saying, "No, don't, I, I can wipe it off myself." %s's face was redder than even the most expensive apples in the stores of Umbraton, and the ice water was evaporating off them quickly... Having found the heat source, I poured some more ice water on %s.
However, I never figured out what Miss Azure said to %s before my visit...

Caelestite, perfect timing! How did you know I was thinking about you? Is that your magical psychic ability at work again?
What did you say? Move closer. Come, sit down next to me so we can talk. Oh, are you shy? Well, relax, I won't do anything improper to you... Though of course, everyone has different definitions of what's "proper".
You want to hear my story? You won't even ease in by talking about the weather? Sheesh, you really suck at small talk don't you... Yet somehow you've gathered an amazing group of people on your Colossus. Looks like you've got some other way of winning people over, %s.
My story... I get that question all the time in pubs and from information dealers. I always ignore their questions, and I usually still get my discounts. However, seeing as you're usually to shy to ask me anything at all, I'll indulge you.
If I'm drunk? Never been more sober.
A long, long time ago... I'm not the best storyteller but I think this is how stories start, right? So a long, long time ago, I a child was born in a town called Balsa in the vast Rediesel Desert.
My father was the second best hunter in Balsa. He tried over and over again but he always ended up in second place. The best? My mother, of course. I was told he proposed to her with a huge bear, claiming he had never missed a target until she poached his heart with her smile... Funny, right?
However, it wasn't they who taught me how to use a gun. After all, I was orphaned at a young age, so it was my brother who taught me how to pull the trigger... Heh. It's been a while since I thought about these things!
But these memories are always simmering in the back of my mind. When Eclipsites swept across Balsa, I only survived because I happened to be out hunting. My brother went missing. However, he wasn't among the refugees or buried under the rubble. If it turns he was just fed up with me and decided to use this as an excuse to leave me behind, I'll kick his ass!
... I really hope that's why we never found him...
I need a drink. My throat is getting dry from all this yapping.
If someone asks me what one needs to walk across the Rediesel Desert, I guess I'd say water, food, and a whole lot of luck.
I know this from personal experience. Traveling alone in the desert with a very slim hope of finding your missing relatives will drain you of resources as well as sanity. It took all of my good fortune to pass out in the Rediesel Wrench's territory.
Although my brother wasn't among them, these people felt strangely familiar. If he had been here, he'd be racing, hunting, eating roasted lizards, and shouting stupid jokes into the desert with them...
Caelestite, I think that's enough about me.
You want more? Heh, someone's a little greedy, aren't they?
After I came to the Rediesel Wrench, life was calm and peaceful for a while. Or, the R. W. version of "peaceful." My gifts as a sharpshooter helped me stand out among the new members. The leader thought highly of my performance in intelligence gathering as well. Sinsa? He's one generation behind me. I'm talking about the leader before him. By the time Sinsa blooms and becomes as much of a man as that Wrench, we'll be well into the second Darkover War... But never mind that kid. Hell, I was around before even Roy got here. Who could have foreseen that laconic, borderline suicidal madman from Illumina becoming a garrulous uncle in the Rediesel Wrench?
But my drink is going flat talking about those disappointing idiots. Come on, let's talk about you. Hmm? Why not? How is it fair that I'm the only one opening up here? What have you been through with this Colossus and that young girl, Vice?
It's a long story? Don't worry. I've got aaaall the time in the world, %s.
How rare to see you anywhere away from the bridge!
Wanna know a mini game I've been enjoying lately?
Hey, good-looking!
Aww... Is this where the Caelestite lives?
My rifle has been serviced better than ever.
Phew...
Morning, babe.
The Colossus is flying at a perfect speed.
Time to get up! It's late!
Wanna go for a ride?
The work at the agency is surprisingly entertaining.
Wanna go grab a drink?
It's so hot today!
Good afternoon, Navigator.
Little Caelestite!
What should we have for lunch?
What a hot afternoon.
I'm bored. Anything interesting going on?
Hey ya! Good evening!
It's already so late...
Why don't we have a drink?
Are you still awake, little Caelestite?
Evening. What's on your mind?
Azure invited you to go for a ride together but pulled over outside a pub where a party was under way.
Someone is asking you to deliver 100 crates of alcohol to a location. But the requester was...
Good hunters are often good at disguising themselves because the best way to corner prey with no way to escape is to make them lower their guard.
The Rediesel Wrench is my family. Although I don't go back often, this bond... it carries me further.
I've got more history with those buggers than I could cover over just a drink or two.
Live life to the fullest? I guess.
The Eclipsites... I wish those bags of slime never existed.
Jona is the only one in the entire Rediesel Wrench who can keep up with me when we're drinking. Roy? He has no manners when he's drunk.
Back then I'd never have imagined that Roy would become so annoyingly talkative... Don't end up like him.
What I like? Cute boys, of course. Don't worry, I'm not gonna eat you whole... Not yet, anyway.
I heard that Lumopolis and Illumina have a lot of rules and restrictions... Just the thought of it makes me feel like I'm suffocating.
The Colossus is huge, but you keep it in pristine condition... I can tell you care about it a lot.
Head out with me on my next job.
My parents once told me that a good hunter excels in camouflage and patience. That's why I have to dress like this and wait here. It's dull, though.
Again! Don't stop!
So how do you intend on repaying me?
You know what to do, right?
Happy New Year! You planning on growing taller this year? I'm looking forward to it!
You only thought of me now?
This is exciting!
It's like I've had several bottles of good brew...
It's the first time I've ever felt like this...
Yawn... I'm tired. I'm gonna go take a nap. If any clients turn up, come and get me. And if I catch you slacking off... well, you know what'll happen.
More... more!
Alchemy Stars!
You know how to drive? If you're interested in learning, I can teach you. I'm one of the best, and few can beat me in a race.
Well, you seem to be close with the girls from both Illumina and Lumopolis. You really are something, aren't ya? Better watch yourself, Mr. Popular, you don't want to do anything crazy.
I prefer to work alone. No one to hold me back, and no one to disappoint... Lonely? Not at all. I've got the stars above shining just for me, and the wild wind singing me songs.
I've operated all kinds of vehicles, but a flying Colossus? Now that's the first I've seen of one. What I'd give to pilot one. Oh, landing is the hardest part? You don't say...
Hey, mind showing off your... "psychic ability" to me a bit? Tell me what I'm thinking right now. Wait, you're scared already? Oh, how boring.
Since they all call you the "Navigator," why don't you come and be my navigator at the next Blazing Rally? Mine, and mine alone... heheh. You're blushing!
Unlike those boring guys who just stare at me from a distance, you're not afraid of getting up close and personal. You deserve a reward... So, come closer.
I did say I prefer to work alone, but if you ever need a place to take a breather, my passenger seat doesn't have anyone in it.
It's been a long time since someone called me by my real name, Safia... Can you just say it to me one more time? Just pretend I'm drunk.
That noisy bunch from the Rediesel Wrench are great at lifting people's spirits. The same goes for you, by the way.
Anything new? Well, don't keep it to yourself! There's no such thing as worthless intel.
Why do you keep pestering me? Being clingy isn't gonna get you anywhere... but you're cute, so I'll let it pass, just this once.
I don't like to spend too long in one place. So this agency, it's just for funsies.
The more I drink, the better shot I am. Wanna see for yourself? Great, stand over there and put this tin on your head.
This gun isn't as good as the Eye of the Lynx, but it's not bad. I'll let you play with it when I'm done over here. Don't you want to?
This top is a little tight, so I undid a few buttons. What? Why not? Come on, explain carefully, or how am I meant to understand?
When exchanging intel, you need to know the value of what you have. Of course, having a gun helps.
Hmm. Okay, you know how to win my favor. You're just barely qualified to serve as my assistant. If you put in some more effort, I may even reward you.
Our client's almost here. Focus, or I won't be responsible if a bullet grazes your cheek.
How should I punish you for being late? Hmm... Maybe I should use you as a chair?
Okay, time to wrap up for the day. Why are you in such a rush? Got a hot date waiting for you?
My, what are you doing here at this time? Did you come to see me?
Ah hah! You must be the Caelestite they've been talking about. I gotta say you've got a cute face for someone with such a dorky name. Move closer, would you?
Carefully, earnestly...
I started playing with firearms when I was still in the womb! Sadly, there's no one left to attest to that...
Can you imagine the desperation of dragging yourself through the endless desert, unable to find your way home... or the person you once were?
I don't want history to repeat itself... Now, the Rediesel Wrench is my home, and I'll protect it in my own way.
Sure. But how are you going to repay me?
The water party in the desert is about to begin, but what makes a lot of people particularly excited is the opportunity to witness Azure's amazing figure! She's especially alluring under the sheer clothing... Ahem, please control yourself and don't stare for too long! Enjoying a warm, humid evening breeze, listening to loud music, and dancing with a crowd from time to time is a blast!
An office with bright and clean windows, a soft sofa, intoxicating wine, and the interim director half lying down on the sofa. Don't let her lazed demeanor deceive you—this beautiful woman is dangerous, especially to the one who would soon become her prey, in a literal way.

+Her entire kit is broken
+On average, highest individual DPR in the game
+Incidental Low-CD global conversion
+Absurd Chain Combo that requires only 2 tiles and hits for a minimum of ~33k on 2x2 enemies assuming maxed stats vs. 1k defense
+Gets a flat 20% Areia-style attack buff for free
+Doesn't require breakthroughs
+Synergizes well with other top-tier Water units like Bethel and Hydrad
-Damage output is significantly lower when not in Captain slot
-The damage version of the Active Skill does very little damage in boss scenarios
-Equipment buff is somewhat conditional at BT0
The closest comparison to Azure is BT3 Hiiro, who was previously considered to be the best unit in the game.
Azure trades some of Hiiro's Conversion power for astronomical DPR, as well as a kit that works without dupes. For that reason, Azure is probably the single best unit in not only Water, but the entire game.
She handles mobbing, single-tile, and multi-tile bosses equally well, has unparalleled off-turn damage, and even has (mild) Conversion. Her low-CD Active Skill also synergizes well with Bethel and Hydrad (two of the three other best-in-slot Water DPSes), and her damage ceiling is unrivaled outside of BT3 Reinhardt.
To say that she is meta-defining is an understatement. There are few units in any gacha that are this centralizing.
